What Bruce does for a living:
I am a retired agriculture science teacher from the Tom Bean ISD. I taught for 32 years. I live on a farm and raise cattle, drive a bulldozer and a large tractor for hire.
What you should know about Bruce:
I live in a small town in North Texas. I own a farm, raise cattle, and fish tournaments mainly in Texas. I go to the Methodist Church, have a lovely wife and a son and daughter. Both are married and have 1 grandson.
How Bruce started fishing
I have fished all my life. I began fishing tournaments around 1987 but never had the time to do it seriously. After I retired I now have the time to fish all I want.
Aspirations or goals with fishing
I am an older guy so I have no pro aspirations. I have fished a few Costa series tournaments and plan to continue, and will compete in a few BASS Opens. I enjoy fishing the ABA and fish other circuits.
Favorite way to fish
I lover to fish with deep crank baits. I have made more money fishing like this than any other way.
Most exciting fishing experience
Winning tournaments with my son. He was a collegiate FLW All American in college and I really enjoy spending the day fishing with him.
How Bruce preps for a tournament
Three favorite search baits
Crank baits , topwaters, and shaky heads.
Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.
Most challenging part of tournament fishing
When tournaments don't go my way
