What you should know about Allen:

Retired from Forestry related work at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

How Allen started fishing

Dad starting me on the road to fishing and the outdoors. Started tournament fishing about 2009 or 2010.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

To learn all I can to become a more proficient and successful tournament fisherman.

Favorite way to fish

Soft plastics. Nothing like that bite on a plastic worm.

Most exciting fishing experience

Fished as a co-angler in one FLW tour tournament.

How Allen preps for a tournament

Look at upcoming weather and try to see what water conditions are in various sections of lake.

Three favorite search baits

Lipless cranks, Texas rig worms, and carolina-rig.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Probably a fifth place finish in BFL. Lucky enough to get 5 good bites on a crank bait and a top 20 as a co-angler in FLW Tour event

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Catching the size fish it takes to be successful.

When tournaments don't go my way

Just part of the game.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Pay attention to whats going on around you. Don't get discouraged.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Pick out a technique and learn everything you can about it and then put what you learn to use until such time as you become confident in what you are doing.
