What you should know about Chad:

I love the sport of fishing more than anything. I started fishing as soon as I was old enough to walk and use a rod and reel. The sport of competive fishing is dear to my heart but if there was never another tournament I would still fish just as much.

How Chad started fishing

My dad got me into the sport of fishing. He never left me behind I was always right there by his side eager to go wet a line.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

Favorite way to fish

Love to churn and burn and fish shallow for active fish.

Most exciting fishing experience

How Chad preps for a tournament

I make sure tackle is organized and stored in a proper manner. Always make sure to have appropriate line sizes spooled up on my reels. Make mental notes on what I learned in practice fishing and usually try to always have a back up plan in case the lake fishes totally different the day of tournament.

Three favorite search baits

Crankbait, Chatterbait, Jig

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Just making the right decisions and listening to your gut.

When tournaments don't go my way

When tournaments don't go my way I look at it like a great time and experience to be a student to the sport. I am always trying to learn and add to my skill set as a fisherman.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Always be a student to the sport. Learn how to beat the fish and you will beat the other anglers.
