How Tacorrie started fishing

I grew up fishing as a kid in a neighborhood pond. In 2010 decided to join a Bass Club. In 2011 I moved to another military installation and joined another Bass Club. I decided to switch gears start fishing the 2015-2016 ABA season. In 2016 I also decided to fish the FLW BFLs. I also fished a Ram Open Series to broden my knowledge and experience.

Aspirations to win a tournament.

Goals: To continue gaining sponsors and improve my experience and knowledge.

How Tacorrie preps for a tournament

As a Co-Angler/ Non-Boater, I carry any where from 6 to 8 rods. Each rod has a different setup ranging from Top water, Cranking to Jigging and Carolina Rigging deep water in Texas!

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Knowing your own weaknesses and and trying to perfect them. Understanding the concept of one fish at a time vs trying to catch alot of fish. Each body of water is different. Having patience


When tournaments don't go my way

Understand in order to get better. You will lose tournaments. Just learn from mistakes that were made continue to grow and improve.


Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Practice, Practice, Practice 


Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Yes. Never be scared to use light line. Try different techniques until find one that you are comfortable with before trying to move on to another one. Research your baits and equipment. When conditions are tough Keep Fishing!
