What you should know about Jeremie:

I am Jeremie Lane. I love  God and Country! I love my wife dearly! I look forward to good competition!

How Jeremie started fishing

I Bream fished alot as a boy with my Grandad and Father, but I sarted Bass fishing with a good buddy of mine named Lloyd about 8 years ago. I loved it! Well, he fished in in a local Bass club by the name of "Town Creek Bass masters" which was founded by,who is a very dear friend of mine to this day " Wesley  Collet".Anyways, its 8 years later, I got me a little boat and I'm still fishing. Now I just want to broaden my horizons! Why not?

Aspirations or goals with fishing

I want to be the best!

Favorite way to fish

Finesse. Theres not a better feeling to me, than a hookset on a worm or jig!

Most exciting fishing experience

My most exciting fishing experience ? There has been so many but I would have to say it was probably the time me and my buddy Lloyd Mares fished a power plant lake in dead winter. The snow was falling so thick you could barely see your rod tip! Did I mention it was cold? Well it was! Despite the artic conditions we caught around 50 apiece. Almost all of them were over 3 pounds!

How Jeremie preps for a tournament

I arrange and rearrange my tackle until everything is exactly where I think I need it.I do this mainly to settle my nerves. The rest is routine anticipation!

Three favorite search baits

A worm,  jerkbait and spinning lure

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

That would have to be my last tournament of this year with Town Creek Bassmasters. I needed to win to place second for the end of the year. Not only did my partner "Alex Hienze" and I win that tournament, but we won 2nd on the year, big fish, but we also ended up with the largest bag ever caught at that particular landing! I didnt do anything different than usual that day. I just believe it was our destiny to do well and we did!

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

My most challenging thing in tournament fishing is definitely learning how to work with my nerves.I never want to completely suppress them because I try to use them for motivation. The more comfortable I feel, the better I fish!

When tournaments don't go my way

I dont dwell on a loss. I think about what I did wrong and I think about the things I did right! I regroup and put the work in!

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

My best advice is to cut yourself off from all negativity , people included, and just go for it!

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Gear is important. A man is only as good as his tools allow him to be. Fish a lot!! The best techniques are the ones that work the best for you!
