What you should know about Michael:

I love fish tournaments.. I mainly fish them as  a stress relief. I am a US Navy SeaBee veteran.

How Michael started fishing

I started back when I was 9 or 10 trout fishing in the creeks around the house. Then my stepdad took me bass fishing and I was hooked.. Started fishing with the local bass club at 19 and been fishing tournaments every since..

Aspirations or goals with fishing

To have fun no matter what the outcome is.

Favorite way to fish

Any top water... The rush when that bass smashes the bait.

Most exciting fishing experience

When I caught my best fish, a 10.5 pounder at night on a bang-o-lure

How Michael preps for a tournament

Find out all I can about the lake and just go fishing.

Three favorite search baits

A jerk bait, spinner bait,and a senko

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

My partner and I have had several 1st place finishes in our local club tournaments.. We just put our heads down and fish.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Making the cut.

When tournaments don't go my way

Call it fun and get ready for the next one.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Never Give Up !!
