Aspirations or goals with fishing
be competitive, have fun, enjoy the outdoors, be respectfull and earn other anglers respect.
Favorite way to fish
I love winter bass fishing, cold water and cool days. My strength is fishing a jig on offshore structure, my favorite bite would ahve to be on a spinnerbiat. LEast favorite approach is to beat the bank looking for a bite.
Most exciting fishing experience
pre-spawn small mouth fishing in Canada, went on a guided trip in 2012, was truely amazing experience.
How James preps for a tournament
I refer to my notes from previous events and research current conditions, water temps, water level, color. Friday evenings are normally spent prepping tackle and boat.
Three favorite search baits
depending on the time of year, but usually spinner bait, rattle trap, biffle bug swing head type tackle
Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.
Lake Monticello, 2017. Had 21lbs, didnt catch a fish on my best location, but went back to it becasue I knew the fish were there. caught 21 lbs in next 45 minutes to win our club event.
Most challenging part of tournament fishing
The most challenging aspect of tournament fishing is to find (5) of the right bites, I'd rather catch a 20lbs bag or nothing.
When tournaments don't go my way
its fishing... try to fisgure out the adjustment i should have made or tried..
