What you should know about Adam:

How Adam started fishing

I started Bass fishing when I would go camping with my family to the lake.  I always watched the evening tournament boats go by and wanted to be a part of them every time.  Now I fish local and regional tournaments as a boater and sometimes as a Co.

Aspirations or goals with fishing

My main goal with fishing is to never lose my interest and love for it.  I love tournaments and would love to go Pro and be successful at that level.  Overall, I want to cut checks here and there, to help with expenses, and just have fun and enjoy the outdoors.

Favorite way to fish

My favorite way of fishing is fast, but it typically happens with a spinnerbait or a wacky-rig!

Most exciting fishing experience

The most exciting fishing experience for me was catching a 8lb largemouth at Stonewall Jackson Lake with my Dad.  This experience can never be replaced.

How Adam preps for a tournament

Preperation for a tournament is where I struggle.  If I am a boater, I try to read and study maps the best I can before I show up to practice.  I like to have at least two-three days to pratice.  As a co, sometimes I just show up and fish!

Three favorite search baits

Three favorite search baits are spinnerbaits, senkos, and small swimbaits.

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

1st place at a local event.  That day started throwing crankbaits, and ended tossing a jig.  My partner and I both caught kickers in the last hour to secure the win.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Dealing with adversity and failure.

When tournaments don't go my way

I struggle to figure out why, but then I get over it and go fish some more.  I have been bad enough before to stop tournaments to get my confidence back.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Just go fish and use the inner child for fun but the adult mindset to win.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Any type of senko fishing.  Spinnerbaits are good to start learning bass.
