Most exciting fishing experience

How A.J. preps for a tournament

I watch the weather for about a week before the tournament and look at Google maps for the shorline and my chart plotter for contours and then figure out a gameplan

Three favorite search baits

spinnerbait, crankbait, chatterbait

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

Most recent was the two day. I didnt commit to one specific bait. I chaged baits and fish the same spots a few different ways and payed off by catching  everything on a differnt bait

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Definitely the mental aspect. Need to have a good attitude and no doubts about finding fish.  Every minute counts. I always fish till the last minute of the tournament because it has paid off before by catching the 5th fish or culling on the last cast

When tournaments don't go my way

I try to figure out what im doing wrong and go back to basics. Too many new things and sometimes going oldschool is what it takes to get some fish
