What Truck, Boat and Outboard does Samuel run?

I pull my 2007 Triton TR20X2 or my 2020 SE ActionCraft Flatsmaster with my 2016 Ford F-150 4WD

My Sponsors

My wife lol.... she owns a bait business so I do get some good deals on baits I like to throw

What Samuel does for a living:

I am the maintenance superintendent at a power plant

What you should know about Samuel:

How Samuel started fishing

With my hands....I caught a Brooktrout in a small creek using my hands. Think I was 7 years old at the time. Now days would get a ticket if a GW saw it lol...

Aspirations or goals with fishing

To fish when I want to where I want with who I want to and maybe catch a few.

Favorite way to fish

Dragging lures off the canyon

Most exciting fishing experience

Offshore trolling in my Aquasport 290TM catching Wahoo Dorados and Tuna

How Samuel preps for a tournament

Google Earth. Prep at least 8 rods: 2 Texas Rig, 2 Jig, 1 Carolina Rig, 1 Wacky Rig, 1 Swimbait, 1 Topwater, and a couple unrigged rods for the box.

Three favorite search baits

No favorite

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

24.4 lbs early March open tournament on a local lake. Fished a creek channel using a plastic crawfish on a shakeyhead. Was culling fish by 9:00. Good day

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Stopping when it’s time

When tournaments don't go my way

Throw a temper tantrum...actually I start looking at the next one. A bad tournament is when equipment breaks down like a trolling motor or you lose a lower unit. There are worse things than not getting in the money or not getting to weigh.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Slow down, have patience , slow down, don’t worry about what everyone else is doing, slow down, Have Fun, slow down, be thankful you are outdoors, slow down.
