Aspirations or goals with fishing

At this point in my life to just enjoy and have a good time. Oh , winning a few times wouldn"t hurt.

Pitching a jig and pig along with crankbaits and topwater.

Most exciting fishing experience

Big , Big smallies on Lake Ontario !!!

How Mark preps for a tournament

Best tournament finish and what you did that day when you were fishing.

I have been lucky enough to win a few times in ABA and other trails but winning the Two day Championship on Honyeoye Lake pitching and flipping.

Most challenging part of tournament fishing

Not letting my brain get in the way and over thinking things.

When tournaments don't go my way

Sorry to say but it bothers me all week . I don"t remember every fish i caught but I remember every fish that cost me a win or placing. I might not be the best one to answer that question!!

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:

Go as a non-boater for a year and fish with as many different people as you can . That will show you many different ways to fish and you can learn.

Some shared general bass fishing techniques for people just getting into the sport

Keep it simple and learn a few techniques, trying to learn every way to fish can be overwhelming. Then practice those techniques in the spring when fish hit everthing to give you confidents with type of fishing.
