Jennings Clinch Victory on Kentucky Lake, Buchanan, TN, August 6, 2023 - The culmination of the 2023 series unfolded with intense competition on Kentucky Lake, ultimately deciding the points championship for the Kentucky Lake Division. In an effort to promote conservation, the final midsummer tournament adhered to a three-fish limit. This strategy not only aids the preservation of live fish but also maintains fierce competition. A field of eleven teams participated, collectively reeling in 12 fish with a total weight of 29.06 pounds. |

However, participants had to contend with extreme heat as they embarked on a challenging day of angling. |
Dunn and Swinford Win On Kentucky Lake Murray, KY - On June 3, 2023, the ABA Couples Series witnessed intense competition on a warm day at Kentucky Lake. In a remarkable debut, Wes Dunn and Sydnie Swinford emerged as the leading contenders, showcasing their abilities by landing a five-fish limit weighing 18.48 pounds.The couple earned $500 for their outstanding performance, and Sydnie further distinguished herself by winning the Ladies' Big Bass category with a 4.32-pound fish, earning an additional $65. |

Jennings Win on Kentucky Lake Couples fishing the American Couples Series fished through some tough conditions, Sunday, April 30 on Kentucky Lake. Coleton and Taylor Jennings mastered the conditions, the lake, and the field with a very tight victory winning with a 5 bass limit weighing 12.41 pounds. |
Cory and Meagan York Take the D8 Season Opener Win The Bass Pro Shops Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their first tournament of the 2020 season this Sunday. It was also the first fall tournament we have ever scheduled. It was a very light turnout with only 8 teams participating. We had a two-hour delay due to extremely foggy conditions. However, once that fog cleared the weather was nearly perfect. We launched from the Lake Barkley State Park ramp at 8:30 AM and weighed in at 3:30 PM. A lot of short fish were reported caught, but the keepers came tough for most. A total of 10 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 30.84 pounds. We paid out a total of $680 including Men’s and Ladies Big Bass pots. |
Kentucky Lake Division August 4, 2019 The ABA Bass Pro Shops Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their final tournament of 2019 this Sunday. The weather was nearly perfect right up to the weigh-in, at which time Mother Nature dropped high winds and heavy rains for about an hour. Fifteen teams participated today out of the Big Bear ramp. Teams fought a very tough bite all day. A total of 23 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 64.98 pounds. We paid out a total of $1,275. |
Kentucky Lake Division July 14, 2019 The ABA Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their 6th tournament of 2019 this Sunday. The weather was nearly perfect with cooler temperatures, overcast skies and a slight breeze all day. The fish however, were not in a perfect mood. Sixteen teams participated today out of the Paris Landing ramp. It was a tough bite all day. A total of 20 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 59.2 pounds. We paid out a total of $1,350. |
Kentucky Lake Division June 23, 2019 Another great turnout for the ABA Couples Series Kentucky Lake Division. The weather was beautiful at times and horrendous at others. A tornado actually touched down today and done extreme damage to one of our local marinas. 17 teams braved these conditions out of the Kuttawa Lyon County Ramp. The fishing was tough, but we still managed to bring in 29 fish weighing in at 73.58 pounds. The fish are still not totally committed to making their way to the ledges, making it difficult to get a great pattern. All fish were released alive and well. We paid out a total of $1,445. |
Kentucky Lake Division June 2, 2019 The ABA Couples Series Kentucky Lake Division had a great turnout this week. The weather was beautiful. 16 teams took to the big water out of Paris Landing. The fishing was tough. The fish are slowly making their way to the ledges but are difficult to locate. Eleven teams weighed fish at the end of the day. 22 fish were caught weighing over 66 pounds. All fish were released alive and well. We paid out a total of $1,360. |
Treye and Carol Ward win on Kentucky Lake The ABA Bass Pro Shops Couples Series Kentucky Lake Division experienced a very successful weekend. We had 14 teams participate. The weather was very wet and windy but the lake was cooperative and relatively smooth all day considering the conditions. All 14 teams weighed fish at the end of the day. 48 fish were caught weighing over 153 pounds. All fish were released alive and well. We paid out a total of $1,190. |
Kentucky Lake Division April 28, 2019 The ABA Bass Pro Shops Couple Series Kentucky Lake Division set another record this weekend. We had 20 teams participate. Those 40 souls braved an angry Kentucky Lake out of Paris Landing as three and four-foot rollers dominated an otherwise beautiful day. The fishing was great for some, not so much for others, but we all had an outstanding time. 29 fish were caught weighing nearly 65 pounds and we paid out $1,700 for the day. |
Kentucky Lake ABA Couples Kentucky Lake Bass Pro Shops Couple Series opened 2019 with a record number of boats. The fishing was tough and the conditions were rough most of the day, strong winds, some rain, thunder and occasional lightning. However, we had 17 teams brave those conditions and expect that number to rise over the season. Thank you to all that attended. |
