Florida Central Heads to Harris Chain ATHENS, Ala. – The Florida Central Division of the 2021 Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will hold the second event of the season on January 30, 2021, on the Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, FL. To register for this tournament (Click Here) On this same weekend last year, John Kremer of Sanford, FL, won the boater side caught five bass weighing 24.06 pounds including a 7.29-pound kicker. Bryan Jones of Zephyrhills, FL won the Co-Angler side of the event with a three-fish limit of 13.27 pounds. |
Kuca Wins Florida Opener
Running out of Kissimmee Lakefront Park in Kissimmee, FL, the Sarasota, FL angler caught five bass weighing 19.24 pounds, including a 7.96-pound kicker. For the Boater Division victory, Kuca took home a check for $5200 for his win and an additional $690 for the big bass. |
Carson Wins $5200 in Florida Central Event on Harris Chain of Lakes Keith Carson of DeBary, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida Central tournament, held July 18th the Harris Chain of Lakes. Running out of Venetian Gardens – Ski Beach in Leesburg, FL Carson caught five bass weighing 26.50 pounds including an 8.28-pound kicker. For the Boater Division victory, Carson took home a check for $5200 for his win. |
Greico Wins $5400 in Florida Central event on Lake Toho ATHENS, Ala. –Christian Greico of Tampa, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida Central tournament, held February 29th on Lake Toho. Running out of Kissimmee Lakefront Park in Kissimmee, FL Greico caught five bass weighing 22.62 pounds including a 6.36-pound kicker. For the Boater Division victory, he took home a check for $5400 for his win. Greico was also the highest finisher in the Berkley Cast for Cash program and will receive $200 from Berkley. |

Florida Central Heads to Second Stop on Harris Chain Athens, AL – The Florida Central Division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series heads to Harris Chain for the second stop of the season on February 1st, 2020. Going into the second event Johnathan Semento leads the race for AOY for the boaters after a win on Lake Toho. Anthony Santoriello leads the way for Co-anglers after his victory on Lake Toho. This is only the second stop for the season and the title of Angler of the Year is still up for grabs and within everyone’s reach. |
Kirsch Wins $5300 in Florida South Season Opener on Lake Okeechobee Scott Kirsch of Edgewater, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida South tournament held January 25th on Lake Okeechobee. Running out of Roland Martin Marina & Resort in Clewiston, FL Scott caught five bass weighing 18.00 pounds. For the Boater Division victory, Kirsch took home a check for $5300 for his win and will receive an additional $200 for being the highest finishing boater in the Berkley Cast for Cash program. |

Running out of Kissimmee Lakefront Park in Kissimmee, FL Semento caught four bass weighing 16.75 pounds including a 7.19-pound kicker. For the Boater Division victory, Semento took home a check for $5400 for his win. |
Florida Central Set to Open the 2020 Season on Lake Toho Athens, AL – The Florida Central Division is set to open it’s 2020 season of the Bass Pro Shop Open Series on Lake Toho January 11th, 2020. This will be the start of a year-long journey for many anglers chasing the top spot of Angler of the Year and striving to make it to the 2021 Ray Scott Championship on Lake Chickamauga in April of 2021. This is the first of 4 one-day qualifying events, with the division coming together with the Florida South division for the two-day area championship in early October. |
2020 Bass Pro Shop Open Series Kick Off Event December 2, 2019, Athens, AL. The first Bass Pro Shop Open Series event is only 41 days away. The 2020 Kick off event will be on Lake Toho. The event will lauch out of Lakefront Park located in Kissimmee, FL on January 11, 2020. At the 2019 kick off event Eric Panzironi of Longwood, FL weight a big sack of bass of 26.67 pounds to win $5,600 for first place. “I stayed on Toho all day. I found a big school of fish last weekend, and they stayed in the same area. I pulled up to that spot and was done by 9:30 am. Last week they were smaller, but the bigger fish moved up to that area. It feels great to start the season with a win,” Panzironi said. |
Roberts Wins $7000 in Area 5 Championship on Lake Okeechobee ATHENS, Ala. – Joey Roberts of Jensen Beach, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Area 5 Championship tournament, held September 28TH & 29TH, 2019 on Lake Okeechobee. Running out of Roland Martin Marina & Resort in Clewiston, FL Roberts caught a two-day total of ten bass weighing 35.57 pounds including a 7.48-pound kicker. For the Boater Division victory, Roberts took home a check for $7000 for his win. |
Smith Wins $5500 in Florida Central Event on Kissimmee Chain ATHENS, Ala. – Dustin Smith of Grand Island, FL won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Florida Central tournament, held June 8th on the Kissimmee Chain. The competitors will launch at Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina, & RV Resort located at 14900 Camp Mack Road, Lake Wales, FL, 33898. Anglers may begin fishing at 6:15a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 2:30 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. local time at Camp Mack with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. |

Running out of Hickory Point Recreational Facility in Tavares, FL the DeBary, FL angler caught five bass weighing 25.01 pounds anchored by an 8.62-pound big bass. For the Boater Division victory, Carson took home a check for $5500 for his win and an additional $890 for the big bass award. |
