Sequence of events:
- Meal at 5:30pm
- Draw prizes
- Recognize Military Service teams
- Present the winner with a 21TRX Triton w/Mercury Motor
- Present the Angler of the Year with a 21TRX Triton w/Mercury Motor
- Present plaques and checks to other winners
- Draw for a 19TRX Triton w/Mercury Motor (Must be Present to win)
The top 500 national point holders plus 30 Active Duty Military will be invited to compete in the National Championship. If one or more of the top 500 do not accept the invitation, the remaining slots will be filled from a list of qualified anglers by points. Contestants must meet the minimum qualification requirements which is; the successful completion of four (4) one-day tournaments and one two-day tournament.
a. There will be three winning positions in the National Championship, one for the overall winner of the event, one for Angler of the Year and one for a draw boat (must be present to win).
b. The top 250 anglers by points will have the opportunity to register as a boater and be guaranteed use of their boat. If one or more of the top 250 do not accept the invitation, the remaining slots will be filled from a list of qualified and pre-registered anglers by points. The top 250 boaters may or may not have a partner during the event. In the event a boater draws a non-boater, Rule 16 applies, including the non-boater being entitled to an equal number of hours to fish his/her selected waters.
c. ABA will take registrations for non-boaters slots from qualified anglers by points, until all 250 boater slots have been filled. Those anglers registering as a non-boater will be paired with a boater and be entitled to their equal number of hours to fish his/her selected waters, see Rule 16.
d. Divisional Points Leaders will compete within the National Championship event for American Bass Anglers Angler of the Year (see Paragraph 22).
e. No angler will be allowed to win more than one boat in any calendar year. The Championship lake will be off limits approximately 15 days prior to the first official practice day. All tournament information pertaining to the Championship will be published on the ABA web site NLT August 1, 2019.

ANGLER OF THE YEAR PROGRAM: The 2019 a new Angler of the Year program has changed to allow divisions to submit more anglers as finalist to the program based on annual participation within their division. Changes are as follows:
a. All divisions top points holder (Division Angler of the Year) will advance to the Championship Angler of Year program
b. Divisions averaging 20 or more anglers will submit one additional finalist to the Championship Angler of Year program (total of two). The additional finalist must be second place by points within their division, no substitutions will be allowed.
c. Divisions averaging 30 or more anglers will submit two additional finalists to the Championship Angler of Year program (total of three). The additional two finalist must be second and third place by points within their division, no substitutions will be allowed.
d. Divisions averaging 40 or more anglers will submit three additional finalists to the Championship Angler of Year program (total of four). The additional three finalist must be second, third and fourth place by points within their division, no substitutions will be allowed.
e. Divisions averaging 50 or more anglers will submit four additional finalists to the Championship Angler of Year program (total of five). The additional three finalist must be second, third, fourth and fifth place by points within their division, no substitutions will be allowed.
