Ram Open Series NE Heads to Lake Erie for 2 Day Championship
The New York and Ohio Divisions of the Ram Truck Open Series will hold its 2-day Championship on Sept 2nd and 3rd, 2017, on Lake Erie near Erie, PA.
The competitors will launch at The Perry Monument at Presque Isle State Park. Anglers may begin fishing at 6:30 a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 3 p.m. Onsite registration begins at 4 p.m. Friday September 1st, 2017 at Clarion Hotel and Conference Center at 2800 W 8th street Erie, PA 16505. To enter, anglers who have qualified, fishing the Boater Division pay $300 with co-anglers paying $150. First place is guaranteed a minimum, $10,000 first place for Boater Division and $5000 first place for the Co-Angler Division. To learn more about the payout visit www.ramopenseries.com/payout.php
Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 15 inches long. Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass, each at least 15 inches long.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater and co-angler competitors fishing Ram Truck Open Series events throughout the season may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, and ABU Garcia. Doug Sims Wins ABA At Big Hill
With air temps in mid 40’s and water temps low to mid 50-s, nineteen anglers launched out of Mound Valley Ramp on Big Hill Lake April 3, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. There was a light breeze which would later change to 20 mph winds causing white caps on the main lake. Air temps rose to low 70’s.
Big Bass at Clark’s Hill for North GA Couples
Beautiful and warm early spring weather met the North GA Couples at Clark’s Hill as we launched from the Mistletoe State Park Ramp on March 13, 2021. Lots of healthy fish were caught and brought to the scale while we all enjoyed a good time. It was wonderful seeing some people who haven’t been able to fish with us in a while.
Brad Benfield Takes the Win on Lake Russell
ATHENS, Al. – Brad Benfield of Demorest GA, won the South Carolina Division of the American Bass Anglers Open Series held on Lake Russell on April 4th. Launching out of the Hwy 72 park in Elberton GA, Benfield weighed in a five bass limit weighing 14.46lbs. “I was fishing a wacky rig bait on throwing at different types of structure in the 15-foot depth,” said Benfield.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament.
