2021 Ray Scott Championship Lake Chickamauga Dayton, TN
ATHENS, Ala. – January 07, 2020 -- American Bass Anglers announced today that the 2021 Ray Scott Championship, will be hosted by Dayton, TN. The event will take place April 11-18, 2021 at Dayton Boat Dock on Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, TN. Two hundred boaters and co-anglers from the Bass Pro Shops Open Series 2020 season will be invited to compete for over $300,000.00 in cash and prizes which include $115,000 for first place boater and $65,000 for first place co-angler.
Lake Chickamauga is a reservoir along the Tennessee River completed in 1940 and has a shoreline of 810 miles stretching from Watts Bar Dam to Chickamauga Dam making the lake 58.9 miles long. The Championship will launch from the Dayton Boat Dock at Dayton TN, near the midsection of the lake. Lake Chickamauga is known for big bass stringers and the month of April should produce an exceptional fishery for all the anglers. Lake Chickamauga was named by Bassmasters Magazine as the 7th best bass fishing lake in the U.S. in its 2014 listing.
Dayton, Tennessee has hosted American Bass Angler events before as well as numerous major events including the Bassmaster Classic and FLW Tour. The Dayton community is growing tremendously thanks to the fishing community including multiple new hotels opening just in enough time for Ray Scott 2021 Championship.

New Schedule and Directors for Kansas Division 58
Athens, AL January 22, 2020. Today American Bass Anglers announce new directors for American Fishing Tour Division 58 located in southeastern Kansas. Becky Minor and Mark Moody. Becky Minor has been running events in Kansas for over 20 years.
The division will center around Big Hill Lake which is one of the interesting lakes in Kansas. Located in Labette County about 5 miles east of Cherryvale, Kansas, Big Hill is known as one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Kansas. It has a max depth of 60 and holds a good population of both Large and quality Smallmouth bass.

North GA Couples kicks off 2021 season with double header on Lake Lanier.
October 3 brought post frontal winds and bluebird skies, starting the day off with waning harvest moon. With some fall transition it made for some challenging fishing but beautiful weather to be on the lake. With 8 teams fishing there was only one limit brought to the scales but all others had at least one keeper to weigh, with exception of one team who had to leave lake early due to boat problems.
Bass Pro Shops Open Series Coming To Lake Okeechobee
Athens, AL - The south Florida division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series will hold their first tournament of the season on Lake Okeechobee. On Saturday, January 23, 2021, the tournament will be out of Clewiston, FL, launching out of the framed Roland Martin Marina and Resort.
It will be interesting to see how much Okeechobee has changed since last January. On this same weekend last year, Scott Kirsch of Edgewater, FL, won the boater side of the event with a five-fish limit of 18 pounds. Mason Meder won the Co-Angler side of the event with a three-fish limit of 10.91 pounds.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
