Joseph High wins on Sutton Lake
November 24, 2018, Wilmington, NC, Three anglers launched from Sutton Lake ramp near Wilmington, NC. The rain was steady and winds rose and fell all the way up until the weigh-in. With the most unfavorable conditions Joseph High from Wilmington, NC took the victory with 5.42-lbs. He also won the Big Bass and TWT. Joseph took home $207 in prize money.
Second amongst the competitors was Jeremie Lane from Delco, NC with the total weight of 5.40-lbs.
Third place was claimed by David Sasser from Holly Ridge, NC with and a total weight of 3.31-lbs.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Joseph High. His fish locked in the scales at 3.82-lbs earning him $30 in prize money.
The next tournament in this division will take place on 12/15/18 launching from Elwell Ferry.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.

DAVID LOWERY WINS AOY for D72
David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga took the win at the 2-Day Divisional Championship on Lakes Sinclair/Oconee on June 8 & 9, 2019 for the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D72. There were 38 anglers competing in the rainy conditions. His total weight for the combined two days was 33.66 pounds! David said he was using a jig with a Big Bite Baits swimbait trailer which will be released soon at ICAST. He likes to use Impulse rods, All-Terrain tackle, and JJ's Magic. David won the First place trophy and cash payout of $1,530 and also secured the Angler of the Year for D72. Director Benny Howell awarded $250 cash as the AOY prize. David also won $100 cash for Big Bass of the Year which he caught in November. Congratulations to David Lowery for his total earnings of $1,880 cash and top honors! Ken and Pam Draskovic win on Lake Guntersville
ATHENS, Ala. – Ken and Pam Draskovic won the Bass Pro Shops Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held June 1, 2019, on Lake Guntersville. Running out of Waterfront in Scottsboro, AL the team caught 5 bass weighing 18.73 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $450.00. They caught their fish on top water baits over grass. Pam and Cheryl Howell tied for Woman’s Big Fish with 5.15 pounders.
Alabama South Heads to Logan Martin
ATHENS, Ala. – The Alabama South Division of the 2019 Bass Pro Shops Open Series presented by American Bass Anglers will host the fourth event on June 22, 2019, to Logan Martin in Pell City, AL. The competitors will launch at Lakeside Park, located at 2801 Stemley Bridge Road, Pell City, AL 35128. Anglers may begin fishing at 5:15 a.m. or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 2:30 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. local time at the ABA Stage Trailer Inside Lakeside Park with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
Davis and Butler win a new Triton boat on Lake Guntersville
Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
