David Lowery Takes the win on Oconee
David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga dominated the field of 27 anglers on December 15, 2018, to take the win on Lake Oconee for the AFT D72 tournament. David said he caught his fish using a five-inch Big Bite fighting frog. His scale weight of 14.61 pounds put him at the top of the leaderboard to win $660 cash and the first-place trophy. David was the only angler to bring a limit to the scale.
Kip Carter of Mansfield, Ga took the second-place trophy and cash of $404 with three-bass totaling 8.52 pounds. He also won $135 for a 5.06 pounder to take the trophy for Big Bass. Kip likes to use a crankbait, and it paid off with total earnings of $539 for the day.
Lance Collins of Monticello, Ga placed third with 6.98 pounds, to win $144 cash and a nice trophy.
Ronnie Stegall of Buckhead, Ga said he was glad he decided to fish this AFT tournament on yet another rainy Saturday. He finished in the money winning fourth place cash of $115, with a scale weight of 6.76 pounds.

A T-H Marine trolling motor handle was won by Donny Soto, and Damian Hall won an 8-ounce bottle of G-Juice. Thanks to Donny Soto for assisting with morning boat checks, and weighing fish in the afternoon.
The next tournament for D72 will be January 12, 2019, on Lake Oconee going out of Sugar Creek Marina.
