DAVID LOWERY WINS AOY for D72
David Lowery of Milledgeville, Ga took the win at the 2-Day Divisional Championship on Lakes Sinclair/Oconee on June 8 & 9, 2019 for the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour D72. There were 38 anglers competing in the rainy conditions. His total weight for the combined two days was 33.66 pounds! David said he was using a jig with a Big Bite Baits swimbait trailer which will be released soon at ICAST. He likes to use Impulse rods, All-Terrain tackle, and JJ's Magic. David won the First place trophy and cash payout of $1,530 and also secured the Angler of the Year for D72. Director Benny Howell awarded $250 cash as the AOY prize. David also won $100 cash for Big Bass of the Year which he caught in November. Congratulations to David Lowery for his total earnings of $1,880 cash and top honors! He gives a very special "THANKS" to his wife, Vicky!!!
Carl Hayes had a two-day total weight of 33.07 pounds to win $974 cash and the Second place trophy.
Carl Wilson brought a two day total of 30.83 pounds to the scale to secure Third place winnings of $442 cash.
Lance Collins won fourth place cash of $332 with 27.68 pounds.
Sean Capes won fifth place cash of $260 with 27.34 pounds.
Jim Windham won sixth place cash of $186 with 25.76 pounds.
Oliver Brooks took the Big Bass trophy with a 5.99 pounder caught on Day 2. He also won $190 cash for the optional big bass pot. Jim Windham won $190 cash for Day 1 Big Bass which weighed 5.78 pounds.

Joshua Parrish was awarded a special prize of $100 cash for fishing all 15 events of the 2019 season!
Draw prizes were given at the end of the two day event. Ronnie Stegall won a J Miles Custom Rod, Lee Harrison won a $50 Sugar Creek Marina gift card, and three $50 bills were won by Anthony Widener, Jerry Jones, and Sean Capes. Total cash payouts and prizes for the day totaled $4,754.

Our average for the season was 43 anglers, so D72 will be able to send 4 anglers to the Nationals in October to compete for the AOY boat.

The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers BPSFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the BPSFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, BPSFT National Championship tournament.

Ryan Ingram Maintains Lead
ATHENS, Ala. – Ryan Ingram of Phenix City, AL remained in the top spot with another solid day at the 2019 Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Championship on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, AL. Ingram hauled in 15.47 lbs with another 5-fish limit bag today, bringing his current two-day total to 37.15 lbs. His largest bass overall was a 5.99 lb. Ryan is holding a 6-pound lead over Bradley Enfinger.
Cory and Meagan York Take the D8 Season Opener Win
The Bass Pro Shops Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their first tournament of the 2020 season this Sunday. It was also the first fall tournament we have ever scheduled. It was a very light turnout with only 8 teams participating. We had a two-hour delay due to extremely foggy conditions. However, once that fog cleared the weather was nearly perfect. We launched from the Lake Barkley State Park ramp at 8:30 AM and weighed in at 3:30 PM. A lot of short fish were reported caught, but the keepers came tough for most. A total of 10 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 30.84 pounds. We paid out a total of $680 including Men’s and Ladies Big Bass pots.
Waller Takes The Win in Area 4 Championship On Lake Hartwell
ATHENS, Ala. – Mark Waller of Hartwell, Ga. won the Bass Pro Shops Open Series Area 4 Championship held October 5th and 6th 2019 on Lake Hartwell. Running out of Green Pond Landing in Anderson SC, Waller weighed in a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 22.47 pounds. Waller took home a check for $3700.00 for the win.
John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
