Hatcher and Dorsett Win Bass Pro Shops 150 Series Event on Logan Martin

ATHENS, Ala. –The team of Timothy Hatcher of Trussville, AL and Tommy Chase Dorsett of Ashville, AL won the Bass Pro Shops 150 series team event held on Logan Martin on 7/13/19. The team sacked up a five bass limit weighing 16.51 pounds. Their limit was anchored by a bass weighing 4.74 pounds.  For the win, Hatcher and Dorsett took home a fully rigged Tracker Pro Team 175 XTE Tournament edition boat with a 75 HP Mercury 4 stroke motor valued at $21,000.00

“We caught our fish on a jig targeting deep places and a few boat docks. It was a better morning bite before the storm came in.” Hatcher said.  

“This is the biggest thing I have ever won; I had a great partner.” Dorsett said.

In second place the team of Brad Jones of Sylacauga, AL and Jay Hutchins of Sylacauga, AL weighed in a five bass limit weighing 15.90 pounds. Their limit was anchored by a bass weighing 6.47 pounds which was the biggest bass weighed in.

“We lost three good fish this morning. We caught our fish junk fishing targeting rock and wood down straight banks.” Jones said. 

Taking third the team of Dustin Seaborn of Guin, AL and Benjie Seaborn of Guin, AL weighed in a five bass limit weighing 15.68 pounds.

“It was a struggle early and only had one keeper around 10:00am. We bounced between the river and creeks all day. We caught our fish between the boat ramp area down to riverside.” Seaborn said.
 
In fourth place the team of Thomas Eric Sommers of Deatsville, AL and Daniel Sommers of Deatsville, AL weighed in five bass for 14.10 pounds. Rounding out the top five the team of Marty Giddens of Cropwell, AL and Chris Studdard of Sylacauga, AL weighed in five bass for 13.35 pounds.

In total this tournament paid back 100% of the entries and big bass bringing the total payback at $27510.00.

The top 20 teams from this event will have the opportunity to compete in the Bass Pro Shops 150 Series championship to be held on Table Rock Lake in Branson MO in September 2019. The winning team at the championship will receive (2) Tracker Pro Team 195 XTE Tournament Edition Boats powered by a 150 hp Mercury four stroke engine.

The Bass Pro Shops 150 Series is designed to provide anglers who have a bass rig with a 150 hp and below engine the opportunity to compete against equally powered boats.

August 4th, 2019, Smallwood State Park, MD. Shawn Ezerski of Mt Airey, MD won the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Maryland Division 11 Two Day Divisional Championship tournament presented by American Bass Anglers.  Running out of Smallwood State Park near Marbury, Maryland Shawn brought back five-fish on day one that locked in the scales at 9.97 pounds and three fish on day two at 12.08 pounds for a total two-day limit of 22.05 pounds anchored by a 4.72-pound kicker.

Kentucky Lake Division August 4, 2019

The ABA Bass Pro Shops Couples Tour, Kentucky Lake Division completed their final tournament of 2019 this Sunday.  The weather was nearly perfect right up to the weigh-in, at which time Mother Nature dropped high winds and heavy rains for about an hour.  Fifteen teams participated today out of the Big Bear ramp.  Teams fought a very tough bite all day.  A total of 23 bass were brought to the scales for a combined weight of 64.98 pounds.   We paid out a total of $1,275.

Sunday, May 5th, 2019 the ABA Triton 100% Plus Team Tour held its second tournament of the regular season that launched from Goosepond Bait and Tackle on Lake Guntersville located in Scottsboro, AL. Eighty-three teams went head to head, on a sunny but windy day, to try and win the 2019 Triton 17TX powered by a 60HP Mercury four-stroke with Garmin Echo-map plus 93SV valued at 20K. With a massive six-and-a-half-pound lead over 2nd place, Seth Davis and Brent Butler took the victory weighing in 5 fish for a whopping weight of 29.69 pounds.
