Division 10 Heads to Sam Rayburn
ATHENS, Ala. – The South East Texas division of the Bass Pro Shops Open Series will hold its final one-day event of the 2019 season on September 14th in Brookeland, TX on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. The competitors will launch at Umphrey Family Pavilion, Located at 3967 Recreation Rd 255, Brookeland, TX. Anglers will begin fishing at safe light with the weigh-in starting at 3 p.m. Onsite registration and check-in will be from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM Friday, September 13th at the Umphrey Pavilion.
The entry fee for this event is $210 per boater and $105 per co-angler. This event offers a Big Bass Option Pot of $10 per boater and $5 per co-angler.
Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 14 inches long. Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass. Texas fishing license required.
In addition to cash and prizes for top finishers, boater, and co-angler competitors may also win contingency bonuses from such sponsors as Triton Boats, Nitro Boats, Mercury Outboards, MotorGuide, T-H Marine, Power Pole, Berkley and ABU Garcia. We all expected Floodwaters on the Savannah River to make for a tough bite. Therefore, we were not surprised that only 3 of the 7 couples brought fish to the scales. Barry & Romaine worked hard to bring 3 fish that weighed in at 4.90 lbs. to win $315 for 1st Place. Barry anchored their winning bag with men’s big fish at 1.93 lbs.

Athens, AL. The Bass Pro Shops Open Series Georgia Division's seasons kicks off Saturday February 22 on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, AL. The tournament will launch out of Lakepoint Resort State Park with Registration being held at the Hampton Inn Friday night from 4pm – 6:30pm with a pairing and safety meeting immediately following at 7pm.
John Rice and Paul Arnold Take Home Two New Tritons at Chickamauga
John Rice of Huntsville, Al and Paul Arnold of Woodville, Al. won the Bass Pro Shops Team Tour Championship, held October 5th and 6th on Lake Chickamauga. Launching out of Dayton Boat Dock and Grill. John and Paul went straight to work and caught a two-day limit of 10 bass weighing 36.51 pounds. For their victory, the team took home 2 Triton TX-17 boats equipped with 60 HP Mercury outboards and Garmin electronics valued at $40,000.
