Florida Central Set to Open the 2020 Season on Lake Toho
Athens, AL – The Florida Central Division is set to open it’s 2020 season of the Bass Pro Shop Open Series on Lake Toho January 11th, 2020. This will be the start of a year-long journey for many anglers chasing the top spot of Angler of the Year and striving to make it to the 2021 Ray Scott Championship on Lake Chickamauga in April of 2021. This is the first of 4 one-day qualifying events, with the division coming together with the Florida South division for the two-day area championship in early October.
Last year’s season opener 109-boats took to the water with Eric D Panzironi taking the win for the boaters with a 5-fish limit that locked in the scales at a respectable 26.67-lbs. 102 Co-anglers went out for a chance at their share of the prize money and points and Keith J Farrell took the win with a 3-fish limit that locked in the scales at 13.25-lbs.
This year’s Season opener will launch from Kissimmee Lakefront Park at 69 Lakeview Drive Kissimmee, FL 34741. Anglers will blast off at 7:00 a.m or safe light. The weigh-in will begin at 3:00 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m. Friday, January 10th at Kissimmee Lake Front Park with the tournament briefing to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass, each at least 12 inches with a signed exemption permit which will be available at registration and Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass of the same length limits.
To enter, anglers fishing the Boater Division pay $210 with co-anglers paying $105. The payout for all events will be based on the number of entries, for one-day divisional events, $5000 will go the winning boater based on a minimum of 60 boats, for each 2-day Area Championship $10,000 for boaters and $5,000 for co-anglers based on 100 boats. Anglers fishing the Boater Division may weigh in up to five bass and Co-anglers may weigh in up to three bass.
