LANCE COLLINS WINS D72 on OCONEE
Lance Collins of Monticello, Ga won the D72 Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tournament held September 26, 2020 on Lake Oconee. There were 40 anglers competing in the 2021 season opener, and Lance took home the first place trophy for his total weight of 18.00 pounds. He won $785 cash for first place, securing his sack with a 5.17 pounder which took the trophy for Big Bass and addditional cash of $400 for the optional big bass pot. Lance said he caught fish using a frog, but the biggest bass was caught on a spinnerbait during the middle of the day.
Sean Capes finished second with an impressive 13.27 pounds to win $504 and a trophy.
David Simmons took home the third place trophy and $238 for his weight of 10.43 pounds.

At the beginning of awards ceremony, David Lowery was presented an Angler of the Year trophy for last season. After the conclusion of trophy and cash awards, draw prizes were given to the anglers present. Thanks goes out to Kim for drawing chips for the lucky winners. David Simmons won a $50 Sugar Creek gift card. Bill Payton, Jimmy Golden, and Frank Speights each won a $50 bill. Charlie Adams won a bottle of Tito Vodka. Brian Scarbrough and Brad Gandee won Army cups, pens, and calendars donated by Frank Speights.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers BPSFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the BPSFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, BPSFT National Championship tournament.

Eric Allen Wins D41 Tournament on Tensaw River
November 21, 2020, Mobile, AL. Twenty three anglers launched from Live Oak Landing near Stockton, AL. Sixteen of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Eric Allen from Robertsdale, AL took the victory with 17.17 pounds. For the win Allen took home $579 in prize money
North GA Couples kicks off 2021 season with double header on Lake Lanier.
October 3 brought post frontal winds and bluebird skies, starting the day off with waning harvest moon. With some fall transition it made for some challenging fishing but beautiful weather to be on the lake. With 8 teams fishing there was only one limit brought to the scales but all others had at least one keeper to weigh, with exception of one team who had to leave lake early due to boat problems.

Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
