Steve Phillips Takes the win on Lake Blackshear
Steve Phillips of Leesburg, GA. won the Bass Pro Shops American Fishing Tour Division 74 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of the Mega ramp near Cordele, GA Phillips brought back five fish that locked in the scales at 16.58 pounds anchored by a 5.62-pound kicker. For the victory Phillips took home a check for $377.
Phillips said that he caught most of his fish on crankbaits. He believed that moving water contributed the bite. He also praised the weather conditions for this time of year.
Second place was claimed by Brett Mathis with three fish and a total weight of 13.05 pounds. For his efforts, Mathis took home $153 in prize money. Mathis also landed the biggest bass of the tournament. His fished locked in the scales at 6.07 pounds earning him an additional $100.
Mathis stated that his fish came on topwater early in the day and that He never established a particular pattern.
William Sheffield took third with five fish and a total weight of 11.79 pounds. Sheffield said he caught his fish on plastics around grass.

Fornelli Wins on Stockton
Athens, AL December 3, 2020. Mound City, KS angler Lucas Fornelli topped the leaderboard on November 22, 2020, as 24 anglers faced cool, cloudy weather to fish the Bass Pro Shops Fishing Tour Division 126 tournament on Stockton Lake. Fornelli reported catching most of his 16.61 lb bag of fish with a jig, casting into shallow water. He took Big Bass honors with a 4.98 lb bass and won $165 plus a $25 gift card from Heritage Tractor.
North GA Couples kicks off 2021 season with double header on Lake Lanier.
October 3 brought post frontal winds and bluebird skies, starting the day off with waning harvest moon. With some fall transition it made for some challenging fishing but beautiful weather to be on the lake. With 8 teams fishing there was only one limit brought to the scales but all others had at least one keeper to weigh, with exception of one team who had to leave lake early due to boat problems.

Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
