Carl Enos wins the ABA NC Central Division 17 Tournament on Lake Gaston

Thanks to all the anglers that came out and fished the ABA Division 17 tournament on Lake Gaston this past weekend.  It started off cold and then rained in the afternoon but at least it warmed up to the 60’s in the afternoon.   April 24, 2021, 20 anglers, 19 boaters and 1 non-boater, launched from the Summit Ramp on Lake Gaston out of Summit, NC.  Fifteen of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Carl Enos from South Hill, VA took the victory with 16.10 lbs.  For the win Carl took home $543 in prize money.  Carl said he caught his fish about midway up the lake on buzz-baits and sinkos.  Carl also had BIG FISH of the tournament with a very nice 5.23 lb kicker and took home the big fish pot.  Congratulations Carl!

Second place was Mike Colbert from Newpot, NC.  Mike had a 5 fish limit that locked in the scales at 12.34 lbs.  Mike caught his fish on soft plastics and went about midway up the lake.  For his efforts he took home $329 in prize money.

Third place in the tournament went to Mike Roberson from Battleboro, NC with a 5 fish limit weighing 10.54 lbs and received a payout of $108.
