Jeff Gilberts Takes the win on Stockton Lake
With the lake water level still a little over three feet high, flipping was the name of game for American Bass Anglers April 24, 2021 on Stockton Lake The biggest weights were reported to have been caught by flipping the still flooded bushes. Catches were reported in all areas of the lake including Little Sac, mid-lake, Son’s Creek and Big Sac. Eleven 5-fish limits were weighed. Jeff Gilbert topped the leader board with a 15.45 lb bag. Matt Roberts was next with 14.55 lbs. Mike Butcher was 3rd with 14.42 lbs and Scott Tassi was 4th with 14.30 lbs. Mike Dill weighed in the Big Fish of the tournament with a 4.20 largemouth.
The day started with no winds and a mild temperature with some very light rain. Before the day was over there were white-caps on the main lake with winds coming out of the north. When the sun made a brief appearance, the air temperature finally made it to 60̊.
D126 holds tournaments about every month on Stockton Lake. The next tournament is scheduled for May 23, 2021. Anglers compete for cash, prizes and points which qualify them to fish the D126 2-day Championship scheduled for September 25-25, 2021 on Stockton Lake. The ABA
National Championship will be help on Kerr Lake in Virginia October 20-23, 2021.

The AFT Tour of American Bass Anglers is a National Draw Trail with almost 40 Divisions across the country. It is run in draw format. Boaters and non-boaters from age 14 are encouraged to compete. Mike Butcher Wins On Big Hill
The wind was blowing and the bass were biting; Big Hill Lake turned on! All anglers in the American Bass Anglers tournament held May 8, 2021 on Big Hill Lake brought fish to the scales. Mike Burcher brought in the heaviest bag, weighing 19.28 lbs. He had 2nd Bid Bass, a 5.11 lb largemouth
Danny and Virginia Christ win on Lake Mitchell
ATHENS, Al. – Danny and Virginia Christ won the American Couples Series, operated by American Bass Anglers, Central Alabama Division 1 tournament, held April 18, 2021, on Lake Mitchell. Running out of Higgins Ferry boat ramp out of Clanton, AL, they caught 5 bass weighing 15.73 pounds. For the victory, they earned a check for $788.00. Virginia won the Woman’s Big Fish with a 4.87-pound kicker. They caught their fish in shallow water on a worm.

Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament.
