LANCE COLLINS Wins D72 on SINCLAIR
Lance Collins of Monticello, GA took home the first place trophy and cash winnings of $801 at the D72 Bass Pro ShopsFishing Tournament held on May 8, 2021 on Lake Sinclair. Lance said he was fishing shallow with a frog and shaky head to catch his limit of 5 bass weighing a total of 12.37 pounds.
Aaron Batson won the optional Big Bass pot of $440 cash and the Big Bass trophy with a 5.75 pounder! Aaron said he caught it on a Mac Attack custom flipping jig.
There were 44 anglers competing in the tournament for the top seven cash payouts totaling $2,156. Many of the anglers said the fishing was tough. However, there were several really good bass brought to the scale during weigh in.
Thanks goes out to Randy Jackson for weighing fish in the afternoon, and checking boats and calling boat numbers for launch in the morning.

The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers BPSFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the BPSFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, BPSFT National Championship tournament.

Heintz Takes the Win on Grand Lake
Twelve anglers launched from the Tera Miranda ramp on Monkey Island near Grove, OK. Seven of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Curtis Heintz from Olathe, KS, took the victory with a total weight of 17.64 lbs including a 5.95 lb. black bass for Big Bass honors. He accredited his win to just fishing deep. For the win, Heintz took home over $500 in prize money.

Richard B. Russell State Park on Lake Russell was the site of the final 2020-2021 tournament for the SC Couples trail on May 15, 2021 followed by the year-end banquet and awards presentation.
Durden Wins at Lake Oconee
ATHENS, Ala. –Bradley Durden won the 2021 Bass Pro Shops Open Series Georgia Division tournament, held June 5th on Oconee.
Running out of Sugar Creek Marina in Buckhead, GA the Atlanta, GA angler caught a limit weighing 14.41 pounds including a big bass that weighed 5.44-pounds.
Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament. The new dates for the Team Tour Championship will be November 21-22 on Wheeler Lak
