Jamie Leach Takes Championship Win on Lake Texoma
June 21, 2021, Wichita Falls, TX: Jamie Leach of Wichita Falls, TX won the American Fishing Tour Division 112, Wichita Falls TX Two-Day Championship presented by American Bass Anglers.
Running out of the Soldier Creek ramp near Kingston, OK. Jamie brought back five bass on day one and two bass on day two, locked in on the scales at 17.86, anchored by a 4.56 kicker to take the day one big bass. For the victory, Jamie took home a check for $1,288.00.
Jamie was fishing shaky heads with Tail Chaser finesse worms around laydowns and dock poles. He also threw shallow diving crankbaits around rocks and points.
Bill Risley claimed second place with six bass and a total weight of 14.51. For his efforts, Bill took home $634.00 in prize money.
Rusty Edwards took third with six fish and a total weight of 14.11 and won day two big bass that weighed 5.15 winning $412.00 in prize money. Rusty took home the Div 112 AOY honors with 1184 total points.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
The American Fishing Tour offers low-cost, close-to-home bass tournaments that are designed for the weekend angler. All anglers fish for both money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship, and the top 500 anglers in the US are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship for this fall on Kerr Lake in Virginia.

Andrew Skinner Takes the win on the Chowan River
Thanks to all the anglers that came out and fished the ABA Division 17 tournament on the Chowan River this past weekend. It was a hot day on the water and tough fishing for a lot of angler due to the water still being high from the tropical storm that went through a couple days earlier.

Team Tour Championship Postponed
Out of an overabundance of caution The Team Tour Championship that was scheduled for 10/10-11/2020 on Wheeler Lake has be postponed. The National Weather Service is forecasting winds of 10-20 mph with gust up to 35mph for Saturday, and winds of 10-15 mph with gust up to 20 mph Sunday. The safety of our anglers is the number on concern and factor when making the tough decisions on postponing a tournament.
