Luke Montgomery wins on Lake Blackshear

The  D74 AFT tournament held at Lake Blackshear on 14 May 2022 was won by Luke Montgomery of Smithville, GA. Luke’s five bass tipped the scales at 13.53 pounds to take first place for $406 cash prize.

Second place was claimed by Mike McDowell with a five fish limit weighting of 10.58 pounds. His catch earned him a $206 cash prize.

Coming in third was George Haynie with a five fish limit weighing in at 10.24 pounds His catch earned him a $79 cash prize.

Fourth place was taken by Paul Anthony with four fish weighing in at 9.68 pounds. Paul’s limit was anchored by big fish of the tournament a 4.42 pounder earning him $140 cash for the day.

Finishing in fifth was Jeff Morey with five fish weighing in at 9.34 pounds.

The next tournament in this division is the two-day Divisional Championship and will take place on Lake Blackshear 28/29 May 2022 launching from the Mega Ramp.

Well, it was a great day of fishing for Mr. Kevin Jackson of Monett, MO, who brought in 5 beautiful bass at a total weight of 18.45 lbs.  Second place went to Mr. Randy Baskins of Owasso, OK, with 5 alive at 16.15 lbs.  Big bass honors went to Bryan Jackson also from Monett, MO, with a 5.70 lbs bass.  Despite soaring temps, all fish were in good shape and were returned to the lake safe and sound.
