Travis Miller wins at the Ct River
ATHENS, Ala. – Travis Miller from Colchester, CT, won the Bass Pro American Fishing Tour presented by American Bass Anglers, Connecticut Division 6 tournament, held on the Connecticut River. On a super tough and extremely hot 100-degree fishing day Travis caught a 5 bass limit of small keeper smallmouth for a total weight of 5.43 pounds. He was the only one to bring in a limit of fish and it was worth $331.00.00 in cash.
Placing second among the competitor's non-boater Craig Pikul from Ludlow MA weighed in three fish for a total of 5.48 pounds. Unfortunately one of them perished and it dropped his adjusted weight to 4.98 but it was still good enough for $128.00 and Gerald Paben’s 3.73-pound smallmouth claimed the big fish honors for the day.
The next Division 6 tournament will be the Divisions two-day event held on lake Lillinonah and Lake Zoar for those who have fished four or more tournaments throughout the year on August 13th and 14th, 2022, launching from the State ramps.
