George Haynie wins on Lake Blackshear

George Haynie of Cordele GA won the Division 74 American Fishing Tour Division 74 tournament held on Lake Blackshear on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

The morning started out with temperatures in the mid-forties and a two-hour fog delay. The lake level was about four feet below full pool; However, George managed to beat the odds and bring in the winning bag. Haynie’s five bass limited tipped the scales at 12.35 pounds to take first place for $401 cash. He anchored his catch with a 3.34-pound kicker.

Second place was claimed by Jimmy Parker of Poulan Ga. with four fish weighing in at 11.17 pounds. Jimmy anchored his bag with a 4.55-pounder. His catch earned him $200.

Coming in third was Brett Mathis of Warwick, Ga. with three fish weighing in at 10.12 pounds which earned him $79. Brett also landed Big Bass of the tournament earning him an additional $140 cash

Fourth place was taken by Dylan Hughes with a five-fish limit weighing in at 9.14 pounds

Finishing in fifth was Brandon Classon with three fish weighing in at 5.24 pounds.
