Travis Clay Wins on Oconee

Travis Clay of Jackson, GA takes the win at the AFT D72 tournament held December 10, 2022, on Lake Oconee.  His five bass topped the scale at 15.74 pounds to put $824 cash in his pocket and win the first-place trophy.   Travis anchored his sack with a 5.53-pounder.

Joshua George of Loganville, GA finished in second place with a total weight of 15.07 pounds which included a 4.41-pounder.   Joshua won $576 and the second-place trophy.

Tony Wooten of Dublin, GA won the Big Bass trophy and $520 cash for the optional big bass pot with a 6.81 pounder!    

We had 53 anglers competing for the top 8 places to win payouts totaling $2,597.

Thanks go to Danny Taylor and Bob Clark for helping with the tournament.   After the awards of trophies and cash payouts, four $50 bills were given as draw prizes to the anglers present.  The lucky winners were Darryl Huntsinger, Charlie Adams, Richard Carey, and Randy Bush. The draw prize for a $50 gift card to Sugar Creek Marina was won by Amy Taylor.  A custom wooden American flag was won by Darren Taylor.
