Justin Angel Wins on Stockton Lake
December 11, 2022 Stockton, MO. 16 anglers launched from Hartley public use area (old state park) near Stockton, MO. 7 of those anglers brought back five-fish limits to the scales, but when the scales closed Justin Angel from Ash Grove, MO took the victory with 17.98 lbs. He accredited his win to a solid jerkbait bite. For the win, Justin took home $451 in prize money, as well as valuable divisional points.
Second amongst the competitors was Justin Faucett with 5 fish that locked in the scales at 13.74 lbs. Justin said he caught most of his fish targeting secondary points in 6-12 feet of water with an a-rig and jerkbaits. For his efforts, he took home $254 in prize money, as well as valuable divisional points.
Third place was claimed by Tracy Mitchell with 5 fish and a total weight of 12.98 lbs. Tracy said he caught most of his fish "chasing the wind" in the backs of shallow pockets on a crankbait. After culling several times Tracy looked for a kicker fish on primary and secondary windy points, but to no avail. For his efforts, he earned $79, and accrued valuable divisional points.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Justin Angel. His fish locked in the scales at 4.59 lbs, earning him $160 in prize money.

The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
