Lozipone Lands Share Lunker in Possum Kingdom Win
March 5, 2023, Graford, TX: Tony Lozipone of Iowa Park TX won the American Fishing Tour Division 112 tournament presented by American Bass Anglers. Running out of South D&D near Graford TX, Tony Lozipone brought back 5 bass that locked in the scales at an incredible 34.14 pounds anchored by a 13.14 Legacy Toyota Sharelunker - Texas Parks and Wildlife kicker. For the victory Tony took home a check for $695.
Tony was throwing an A-Rig around docks and rocky banks. When Tony hooked into his 13.14 sharelunker, he thought he a hooked a big striper until finally got it to the top of the water and saw what he had. He fought the bass for several minutes until she wore out some and tried to net her but she was too big for the net said so he put the net down and the gigantic bass went back down. He fought her again and got her to the surface and was able to reach down and grab her by his hands.
Second place was claimed by Jason Geesey with 5 bass and a total weight of 27.06. anchored by a 7.52 pound largemouth. For his efforts Jason took home $434 in prize money.
Jason caught his bass with an A-rig on main lake points and secondary points drop shotting.
Rusty Edwards took third with 5 bass and a total weight of 18.09 and took home $167 in prize money.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Tony Lozipone. His fish locked in ‘on the scales at 13.14 earning him $310 and a registered Legacy Toyota Sharelunker by the Texas Parks and Wildlife.
