The Texas Division of the ABA Professional League promises a thrilling season with events at some of the region’s most renowned fishing destinations:

  1. March 2, 2024: Lake of the O’ Pines – Lake Side Park– Register
    • Largemouth bass fishing on Lake of the O’ Pines is currently in an exciting phase, especially as the conditions are becoming ideal for anglers targeting this species. As of the latest reports, the bass are moving into shallower waters, which is typical behavior as they prepare for the spawning season. Anglers have reported good success using a variety of techniques and lures to attract these bass, including lipless crankbaits, spinnerbaits, Texas rigged lizards, and chatterbaits, with the most effective fishing depths being 10 feet or less. The water temperature around 58 degrees and the lake level being slightly above normal pool have contributed to these favorable fishing conditions.
