Joshua Bradley of Buchanan, TN, emerged victorious at the American Fishing Tour Division 32 competition on Kentucky Lake on March 23, 2024. The tournament drew skilled anglers from Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana, competing for both cash prizes and crucial points towards divisional and national rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bradley led the field with a five-fish limit weighing a total of 21.45 pounds. His catch included the largest bass of the event, weighing 5.66 pounds, and another significant catch of 5.62 pounds. This performance secured him a first-place prize of $486, which also encompassed the big bass pot. (Thanks to Melissa Womak, for helping with the photo)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keith Claridge from Oakland City, Indiana, secured second place with a five-fish limit totaling 13.91 pounds, which included a 4.53-pound bass, earning him $163.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom O\u2019Bryant of Cedar Grove, TN, claimed third place with a five-fish limit weighing 11.45 pounds. Buddy Wallace, also from Cedar Grove, TN, finished in fourth place with a total weight of 10.70 pounds for his five-fish limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melissa Womak of Buchanan, TN, placed fifth, bringing in three fish that weighed 7.94 pounds. Notably, this was Womak\u2019s second tournament participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was marked by challenging conditions, including 35 mph north winds and a morning wind chill of 31 degrees, along with large waves and strong currents. Competitors also had to navigate around areas used by Ultimate Match Fishing participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anglers accumulated valuable points toward the Divisional Angler of the Year title, with the division’s points champion qualifying for the American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. Moreover, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will be eligible to compete in the ABA, AFT National Championship tournament over three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next Division 32 tournament is scheduled for March 23, 2024, at Kentucky Lake. Participants are advised to contact Division Director Bill Stines at 731-924-9206 for further details. All upcoming tournaments will implement trailering with weigh-ins at Gray\u2019s Landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
