Have a wonderful wife named Pam who I have been married to since 3/7/81. We only have 1 child Sara, which we are very proud of for the way she has taken responsibility for pushing to be the best RN she can be and also for the way she works with younger people to give them guidance.
How Michael started fishing
Have been fishing all my life. Both of my parents had a love of the outdoors because both fished and hunted.
Aspirations or goals with fishing
The most important things are to have fun and be competitive.
Favorite way to fish
Frog fishing. It always amazes me how a bass can get through the thickest of cover to eat a frog and then the fight is on to get the fish out of the cover.
Most exciting fishing experience
Several years ago fished a Cancer benefit out of Ingalls Harbor with a very good friend in the spring. Within 30 minutes Mo had put 5 in the livewell and I couldn`t buy a bite. At this time I changed from throwing a fluke and picked up a Swimjig and started casting to the dirt. WIthin 7 or 8 casts had culled all of what we had and went on to improve our weight all day. Ended up with almost 19lbs with the closest team to us with 15lbs and change.

Advice to give to an aspiring tournament angler:
Never give up. All it takes is 5 bites that can happen any time of the day as long as your lure is in the water.
