Steverson Wins Top 150 Solo on Harris Chain

ATHENS, Ala. – Kennie Steverson won the 2025 American Bass Anglers Top 150 Solo, Presented by Caymas Boats, Florida Division 3 tournament, held May 30TH & 31ST, 2025 on the Harris Chain of Lakes.

Running out of Venetian Gardens Ski Beach in Leesburg, FL, the Umatilla, FL angler caught a two-day total of ten bass weighing 47.30 pounds. For the Pro Division victory, Steverson took home a check for $4500 for his win.

“I just started out running all the shell bars I knew through history, just cranking and dragging a Carolina-rig, that was it. I would see some on the live scope down there, and some would have them, some wouldn’t. If they didn’t have them, I just keep going to the next one. I didn’t go through any locks on either day. I’m happy to get an eagle finally. “Steverson said.

Second place for the pros, Aaron Yavorsky of Palm Harbor, FL, landed a two-day total of ten bass weighing 42.49 pounds, including a 9.26-pound lunker caught on day one. For his finish, Yavorsky took home a check for $2000 and an additional $1000 for the big bass award.

“I was just finishing a lot of hard spots like grass patches and brush piles on Lake Griffin. I caught that big one on a big glide bait. On the brush piles I was dragging them with a 6th Sense 9 inch Divine Shakey Worm.” Yavorsky said.

Cliff Prince of Palatka, FL, took the third spot for the pros. He landed a two-day total of ten bass weighing 40.40 pounds. He earned $1750 for the effort.

“I didn’t lose anything, which is a good thing, but I caught all mine cranking hard spots and wood offshore in 6ft to 10ft. On day 1, I ran around a lot more, I went to three different lakes, but never went through a lock. Today I just stayed in here in Big Harris.” Prince said.

Finishing fourth, Mason Boylan of Grant, FL landed a two-day total of ten bass going 34.89 pounds. Bryan Moore of Leesburg, FL, rounded out the top five boaters with a two-day total of ten bass going 34.81 pounds.

At the end of the season, the top 15 anglers from each of the divisions across the nation advance to the 2025 Top 150 Solo Championship to be held in October 2025.
