Pearson and Hancox Win First SC Team Series Event

McCormick, SC, January 28, 2024 – In the American Bass Anglers Team Series season opener for Division 8 Georgia South Carolina Line, Todd Pearson and Johnny Hancox emerged the event winners. The event, held at the Dorn Fishing Facility near McCormick, saw 30 teams battling challenging conditions with high winds and stained waters. Pearson and Hancox secured the win with a total catch of five bass weighing 16.17 lb, including a 6.32 lb largemouth. The pair was awarded a prize of $1340.

Jonathan Houpt and Paul Ellis claimed the second spot, presenting a five-fish limit totaling 15.25 lb, featuring a 5.53 lb largemouth, and received $670.

Brothers Colin and Evan Slentz finished third with a catch of 12.22 lb, earning them $500.

The fourth position was held by Donald Miller and Mike Guilbeau with a haul of 12.20 lb, winning $340.

Fifth place went to Cory Henry and Travis Mulkey for their 11.90 lb catch, taking home $270.

The sixth place and the last paid position were secured by Jonathon Brown and EJ Wright with an 11.80 lb catch, resulting in a $240 prize.

Additionally, Pearson and Hancox caught the Biggest Bass of the tournament, a 6.32 lb fish, earning an extra $300.
