On May 4, 2024, Daniel Monahan won at the American Fishing Tour Division 21 event hosted at the Lake Toho Marina, part of the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. This competition, a highlight on the American Fishing Tour calendar, this division always attracts the top regional anglers, all vying for cash prizes and critical points toward divisional and national standings.
Monahan led the field with a total catch of 25.01 pounds of bass, including a notable 6.09-pound bass, securing him first place and a $600 prize.
Close behind, Billy Charland claimed second place with a catch of 24.41 pounds, featuring the tournament’s largest bass at 7.68 pounds, and received $360.

Roger Gonzalez finished third, with 21.66 pounds of bass, earning $123, while Daniel Weber, with a total of 16.65 pounds, placed fourth and took home $94.

The event also highlighted Billy Charland’s 7.68-pound catch, which won him an additional accolade and a $199 bonus for the tournament’s biggest bass.

Participants in these events accumulate points that contribute towards the Divisional Angler of the Year title. Winners from each division will qualify for the AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship, and the top 500 anglers across divisions will compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
