01/13/2023, Lake Toho – Charles Nelson III emerged as the winner at the American Fishing Tour Division 21 tournament held at Lake Toho, FL on January 13, 2023. The competition, a fixture of the American Fishing Tour, drew skilled anglers from the region, all vying for significant divisional and national standings and cash rewards.

Nelson led the field with a total catch weighing 11.86 pounds, highlighted by a remarkable 7.14 pound bass.
The tournament conditions, influenced by a cold front and variable winds, presented challenges and opportunities to the competitors. Nelson’s skill was evident as he successfully caught 3 bass exceeding the minimum size requirement.
Tim Reuwer claimed the second position with a catch weighing 6.45 pounds, earning him a prize of $128.00. Rick Hall followed in third place with a total catch of 6.09 pounds.
Additionally, Nelson’s 7.14 pound bass won him the title of Biggest Bass of the tournament.
Participants in these tournaments accumulate points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The divisional points champion will qualify for the AFT Championship’s Angler of The Year Final Round. Additionally, the top 500 anglers from various divisions will compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
