Matthew Gunn Wins at AFT Div 21 Lake Toho

2/7/2026, Lake Toho – Matthew Gunn takes first-place win for American Fishing Tour Division 21 tournament held at Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, 2/7/2026. The event, part of the American Fishing Tour, attracted a significant amount of anglers (43) from central Florida and other regions, all competing for cash and important divisional and national points.

Matthew found the winning quality of bass with a total weight of 26.13 pounds. Nearly 10 lbs. heavier than 2nd place. This exceptional 5 fish limit earned him the first-place cash prize of $796.00. Matthew’s  bag was anchored by a 6.60-pound bass securing him the tournaments big bass award of $600.00

In Second place was Lonny Mead who had a nice limit weighing in at 16.83 pounds. Lonny received $512.00 for his second-place finish. Lonny also weighed in the second biggest bass, receiving $200.00 for his effort.

In third place, James Topmiller with a total catch of 15.68 pounds. He was awarded $245.00.00 for his efforts.

In fourth place, Stacy Thomas celebrated his catch of 13.75 pounds with an award of $195.00.

Fifth place was secured by David Smith with 13.60 pounds and was awarded $159.00.

Sixth place went to Micah Silverman with 13.40 pounds and an award of $123.00.

Seventh place, and still in the money, was Charles DaSilva with 13.28 and an award of $79.00.

These intrepid anglers braved the cold (Hey! it’s Florida!) with temperatures only rising into high 40’s and water temperatures in the 50’s. This cold snap continued to keep the water temperatures in the mid to high 50’s and likely slow the move to shallow water bedding areas. Many Florida anglers are looking forward to the possibility of a longer breeding season for our largemouth bass. Anglers and fishing enthusiasts can look forward to the next exciting competition in this division, scheduled for 03/07/2026, at Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. The Toho Lakefront Park Marina in Kissimmee Florida will serve as the launch site.
