February 2, 2025 – Lake R.B. Russell, GA. Kerry Partain of Elberton, Georgia, and a Caymas Boat Owner, claimed first place at the Division 25 SC Northwest tournament, held at the Highway 72 ramp on September 8, 2024. The event, part of the American Fishing Tour, brought together top anglers to compete for cash prizes and valuable points in the divisional and national standings.
Partain secured the win with an impressive total catch weighing 18.15 pounds, highlighted by a 4.35-pound bass. His first-place finish earned him a $500 prize, along with an additional $96 from the first-place option pot.
Danny Colquitt from Carlton, Georgia, finished in second place with a catch totaling 16.37 pounds, including a 4.25-pound bass. Colquitt took home $288 in prize money and an extra $64 from the second-place option pot.

Rounding out the top three was Brad Benfield from Demorest, Georgia, who recorded a 15.22-pound catch, earning him a $94 prize.

Other strong performances included Josh Hart, Chris Nelson, and Amy Taylor, who all landed in the top six. Zach Green made his mark by catching the tournament’s Biggest Bass at 4.77 pounds, which earned him a $90 cash prize.

The next tournament for Division 25 is scheduled for March 16, 2025, at Lake Hartwell. The Gum Branch Tournament Facility in Hartwell, Georgia, will serve as the launch site.
