ATHENS, Ala- Colton Trotter won the 2025 American Bass Anglers Professional League, Presented by Caymas Boats, Alabama South Division 2 tournament, held June 15, 2025 on Lake Eufaula.
Running out of Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula, AL the Dothan, AL angler caught five bass weighing 21.52 pounds. For the Pro Division victory, Trotter took home $2450 in cash for his win.
“I started off mid-lake on some grass and ended up catching two of my key fish doing that. I broke one off on a frog that I thought was going to hurt me. Then throughout the rest of the day, I was just fishing schools of fish, throwing a big crank bait and football jig anywhere from 14 to 24 foot of water. I ran all over the place today to be honest trying to dodge the rain and not get soaked and still catch fish. I’m just super thankful to my family, Happy Father’s Day to my dad, and thank my family for coming. I also want to give a huge shout out to Elite Sonar. I was able to see those fish on those ledges today and I wouldn’t be able to do it without them. “Trotter said.
Second place for the Pros, Chase Clarke of Virginia Beach, VA landed a 5-bass limit weighing 18.92 pounds. He earned $1200 for his catch.

“I fished from Cowikee Creek all the way to a few miles past White Oak today. I was fishing offshore schools off main lake points close to the river channel. Stuff like that and just drug around. I got a big bite yesterday, I had a six pounder yesterday and just didn’t get one today, but still a great day fishing.” Clarke said.
Justin Barnes of Ellaville, GA took the third spot for the Pros. He landed a 5-bass limit going 18.63 pounds. He earned $900 for the effort.

“I finished the whole lake fishing ledges, targeting schools of fish throwing a big crankbait, a shakey head, and a football jig. I caught everything that bit. “Barnes said.
In a two-way tie for fourth, Frank “Rodger” Beaver of Dawson, GA, and Kyle Sellers of Lumpkin. AL each landed a 5-bass limit weighing 18.36 pounds
The big bass award of the Pros went to Frank “Rodger” Beaver of Dawson, GA for a 6.66-pound lunker. Beaver earned $250 for that fish.

“I caught that big bass below the bridges. I was fishing schools of fish on a ledge. “Beaver said.
At the end of the season, the best anglers from across the nation advance to the 2025 Ray Scott Championship to be held in April 2026.
