The American Fishing Tour

The American Fishing Tour (AFT) is a draw-format tournament series. The Series is made up of over 80 divisions that each hold 6-10 events in the local community. These events are strictly for the weekend bass angler and guides and pros are not allowed to compete in this series.

The entry fee is $70 for a one-day event and $140 for a two-day division championship.

  • The best four one-day events + your best two-day event is the basis of your national standings
  • The best four one-day events + two-day events within a division are the basis of your divisional standings
  • Each Division’s AOY is invited to compete in the year-end Angler of the Year competition held at the National Championship
  • No meetings the night before, just show up at the ramp at 5:00 am local time. 
  • Payout 1 place per 7 anglers
  • The top 500 at the end of the season are invited to the American Fishing Tour Championship.
  • The rescheduled 2024 Championship will be held May 7, 8, 9, 2025 at Lake Murray, SC, out of Dreher Island State Park.
