April 02, 2023, McCormick, SC. Thirty-four anglers came to the scales today, but at the finish, it was Jason Burroughs of Hodges, SC who won the American Fishing Tour Division 25 – South Carolina Northwest tournament presented by American Bass Anglers.
Running out of Dorn Fishing Facility near McCormick, SC. Jason brought back five-fish that locked in the scales at 17.32 lb. anchored by a 5.50 lb. kicker largemouth. For the victory, Burroughs took home a nice first-place plaque and $738 cash. He also took down the first-place option pot for another $186, bringing his total winnings to $924.
Second place was claimed by Tony Holliday of Piedmont, SC with a solid five fish limit of fish totaling 14.00 lb. For his efforts, Holliday took home the second-place plaque and $464 in prize money. He also bagged the second-place option pot for an additional $124. His total payout on the day was $588.
Bobby Stanfill of Greenwood, SC took third with five good fish and a total weight of 13.97 lb. and took home $197 in cash.
The fourth place position was filled by Blake Campbell of Anderson, SC with a five-fish limit that scaled out at 13.64 lb. That bag was good enough for $151 in cash.
Our fifth-place finisher was Duane Houk of Evans, GA, who sacked a five-fish limit that weighed 13.21 lb. He took home $115 for his efforts.
The Biggest Bass of the tournament was caught by Wayne Davenport. His fish locked in the scales at 7.48 lb. earning him a plaque and an additional $160 cash.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
