September 20, 2025 – Alabama River — Stephen Perry of Pike Road, AL, clinched victory at the American Fishing Tour Division 24 tournament held at Cooters Pond Park near Prattville, AL, on September 20. The event, part of the American Fishing Tour, attracted top anglers from the area, all competing for cash and important divisional and national points.
Perry topped the leaderboard with a total catch of 13.00 pounds, highlighted by a standout 4.06-pound bass. His performance earned him the first-place cash prize of $539, along with an additional $105 for Big Bass.
Second place went to Jeff Cook of Columbus, GA, with a total weight of 10.95 pounds, including a 3.18-pound bass. Cook received $317 for his efforts.
In third place, David Campassi of Prattville, AL, landed 10.87 pounds, anchored by a 3.44-pound catch, and was awarded $101.
Fourth place was secured by Michael D. Hill of Millbrook, AL, with a total of 8.47 pounds, earning him $72.
The next competition in this division is scheduled for October 4, 2025, at Lake Mitchell. The Higgins Ferry Ramp near Clanton, AL, will serve as the launch site.
