These intrepid anglers braved the cold (Hey! it’s Florida!) with temperatures only rising into high 40’s and water temperatures in the 50’s. This cold snap continued to keep the water temperatures in the mid to high 50’s and likely slow the move to shallow water bedding areas. Many Florida anglers are looking forward to the possibility of a longer breeding season for our largemouth bass. Anglers and fishing enthusiasts can look forward to the next exciting competition in this division, scheduled for 03/07/2026, at Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. The Toho Lakefront Park Marina in Kissimmee Florida will serve as the launch site.
