Prince Wins on Chatuge

Alex Prince emerged as the victor at Lake Chatuge on December 30, 2023, during the American Fishing Tour Division 125 event in Hiwassee, GA. The tournament, a part of the American Fishing Tour, drew top anglers from the region, competing for cash prizes and divisional and national ranking points.

Prince secured the first-place position with a total catch of 19.77 pounds, earning him a cash prize of $735.

In the second spot was Dalton Tankersly from Blue Ridge, GA, with a total weight of 17.83 pounds, earning him a $461 cash prize. Scott Laughman from Acworth claimed the third position with a total catch of 16.41 pounds, winning $195.

Michael Keeney caught the Biggest Bass of the tournament, weighing 4.91 pounds, and received a cash bonus of $175.

The tournament featured several other notable participants who contributed to the competitive spirit of the event.

The next divisional competition is scheduled for January 13, 2024, at Lake Lanier, with the launch site at the Little Hall in Gainesville, GA.

These anglers earn valuable points toward the divisional angler of the year title. The points champion from each division will compete in the annual American Bass Anglers AFT Angler of The Year Final Round at the AFT Championship. In addition, the top 500 anglers from the various divisions will earn the right to compete in the three-day ABA, AFT National Championship tournament.
