Launching from Clinton Lake Marina, Millner returned with a three-fish limit weighing a total of 12.60 pounds, averaging over four pounds per fish. He earned a prize of $432.00 for his first-place finish.
The competition took place on a challenging day with cold, windy conditions, yet sunny skies prevailed. The event saw fifteen anglers contend for the top spots under high fishing pressure, exacerbated by recent adverse weather conditions, including snow and rain. Despite the tough conditions, three participants managed to catch limits of fish measuring 16 inches or more.
Michael Rassmussen claimed the Big Bass award with a 5.48-pound catch, placing fourth overall. Austin Moore achieved second place with a three-fish total of 10.19 pounds, receiving $223.00 in prize money. Keith Ringger from Hudson, Illinois, took third place with a catch totaling 9.80 pounds.
